Life

Every day he gets himself to work on time
Puts a hard day in movin’ muck and grime
He drives himself on home
And watches another show

Just another person with nowhere else to go
He’d go out searching but he’s trod that path before
So he’s left himself with nowhere, nowhere else to go

In the evening after work she’s always out on the town
And sometimes she doesn’t have to go home alone
While there’s someone there that night
Tomorrow someone’s out of sight

Just another person who doesn’t know where to turn
She’s out there searching but keeps on getting burned
And she’s left herself with nowhere, nowhere else to turn

I haven’t been this lonely in a while
But I guess I’ve had all the chances I deserve
Though I’ve done my best to try
I sit alone and cry

Just another person who’s life has passed them by
I should go out searching but what’s left out there to try?
I’m another person who’s letting life, life pass them by

There’s someone who loves you no matter what you’ve done
He’ll take you whatever leg of life you’re on
And he will wipe away your wrongs
Fill your life with songs

You’ll be another person who’s life’s begun anew
Let the cleansing waters flow right into you
Be another person who’s life, life’s begun anew

Quote and thoughts

“It is not always the majestic concerns of Imperial ministers which dictate the course of history, nor is it necessarily the pontifications of priests which move the hands of God.”
-from Children of Dune

This reminded me that my life is really in God’s hands no matter what plans I may have and no matter how much control I think I have over things. To cement this idea in my mind I remembered Psalms 127 as sung by John Michael Talbot which says:

“Unless the Lord builds the house, in vain do the laborers build. Unless the Lord guards our city in the night, in vain does the watchman keep vigil.”

Throughout the psalms we are continually encouraged to put our trust in God who ultimately has control of everything. May you step into each new day putting your trust in God.

Peace be with you

Welcome!

So now I've got a place to blog... What to do with it...? Who can say? But it will be wondrous like... a guacamole sundae!
